“ The sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight through the leaves, the fresh, clean air. They ease our stress and worry, help us to relax and to think more clearly. Being in nature can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us” - Dr. Qing Li Shinrin -Yoku the Art and Science of Forest Bathing
Slow down. Awaken your senses. Reconnect with nature.
Living in a busy world can leave little time to pause and simply be present. A guided forest bathing walk offers a gentle opportunity to step away from daily routines, slow your pace, and reconnect with the natural world around you.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this experience is not a hike, a fitness activity, or a meditation class. It is an invitation to spend time in the forest with curiosity and awareness — noticing the small details that are often missed when life moves too quickly.
During the walk, you will be gently guided through simple invitations to:
🌿 Walk slowly through the forest
🌿Notice the sounds, colours, textures, scents, and seasonal changes around you
🌿 Pause for moments of quiet reflection
🌿 Follow your curiosity and let the forest guide your attention
The walk lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours and covers no more than 1.5 km at a slow and relaxed pace. There is plenty of time to pause, rest, and enjoy the surroundings.
Your guide, Susana, is a certified Forest Therapy Guide trained by Forest Therapy Hub. No special fitness level, meditation experience, or knowledge of nature is needed. You are welcome exactly as you are — with only curiosity and a willingness to slow down. If you have any health conditions or mobility concerns, please let me know before the walk.
At the end of the walk, we will gather together to share reflections and enjoy a warm cup of tea while connecting with others in the group.
Whether you've recently moved to the Netherlands or have lived here for years, forest bathing offers a beautiful way to connect with both nature and your new surroundings.
